Departure from Lisbon towards Évora via Vendas Novas and Montemor o Novo. We will pass through excellent plains, with vineyards, olive trees, cork and corn. We will visit the oldest chromelek in Europe, more than 7000 years old, known as Cromeleque dos Almendres. It is a group with more than 100 rocks, placed in a circular way and aligned with the solstices and equinoxes. It is about 2000 years older than Stonehenge.
587/5000 Then we visit Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city, surrounded by walls dating from the 14th century. We will visit the Cathedral and the Roman Temple known as the Temple of Diana and the Cathedral of Évora which is the largest Gothic cathedral in Portugal. The local cuisine is very famous and very rich, based on pork, olive oil, soups, Alentejo bread and cacao and cod dishes. After lunch we will visit the Church of San Francisco and the famous Chapel of Bones, a must see and one of the city's ex-libris. Then we will go to a wine cellar to taste wine and olive oil.
